Nottingham Inn Kitchen and Creamery

Across the road from the Herr’s potato chip and snack factory in the quaint town of Nottingham, Pennsylvania is Nottingham Inn Kitchen and Creamery. Our stop at this cute eatery in this southeastern Pennsylvania town was supposed to be just for ice cream, but the creamery part was not open when we there.  We noticed that the dining area was pretty crowded despite a lot of empty spaces in the parking lot.  It turned out the most of the crowd was local and many seemed to be on a lunch break or perhaps finished a shift at Herr’s.  We decided to stay 🙂

We already had soup for lunch, so this was supposed to be just a snack.  However, we ended up with my husband getting a wrap full of veggies while my daughter and me having a couple of delicious desserts.

My husband had the portabello wrap that had hummus, peppers, spinach, and onions with a balsamic sauce.  He said it was “very good.”  In case you don’t speak my husband’s language, that is just about as high as the praise gets.

I decided to give the bread pudding a try.  I am soooo glad I did.  It was WONDERFUL!

My daughter ordered some type of cream pie, but I honestly can’t remember the flavor.  I do remember that she ate some of my bread pudding.  I think she loves bread pudding more than I do. I also know that she ate the pie, but not the extra whipped cream.  I remember it because I do not recall her ever not eating all the whipped cream before.  It was then I knew we were too full.

As we were rolling our overfilled selves out the door to the car, we noticed they were offering free bag samples of Herr’s snacks (popcorn at the time) on shelves right by the doors.  We each grabbed a bag on the way out (for later, of course).

We are looking forward to going back.  The next time we hope to allow ourselves enough time to tour the Herr’s factory.
