This recipe is from my mom’s recipe box, but it is not a recipe that she ever made.  She NEVER cooked with any wine, liquor, etc. and this recipe has both creme de menthe and creme de cacao.  I, on the other hand, do occasionally cook using alcoholic beverages and thought this candy was very intriguing.

Grasshopper balls are a rich, minty, and very chocolaty candy that is super easy to make. They require no cooking and very little time to mix together. However, they do require patience as they are best eaten at least one week after they are made. Actually, they are really better if you can wait closer to two weeks after you make them.

If you would like to try Grasshopper Balls, but do not want to use alcoholic beverages. You can simply substitute Italian soda syrups in a one-to-one ratio for the creme de menthe and cacao.
