Grandma’s Peach Cobbler

Jump to recipe

Finding my paternal grandmother’s handwriting in faded pencil on a fragile piece of paper at the bottom of a recipe folder prompted me to make her peach cobbler for the first time in my life. I must admit that I can not remember my grandmother making peach cobbler…I remember her fresh peach pies and peach custard pies very vividly though.

To my delight, Grandma’s peach cobbler is a simple, basic batter cobbler that is easy to make and tastes great. It can be served warm or cold. I love it warm with ice cream or milk.

If you are wanting a double-crust cobbler instead of a batter cobbler, my maternal grandmother’s blackberry cobbler recipe can be used by substituting peaches for the berries and omitting the flour from the filling.
