Orange Cream Gelatin Dessert is an easy dessert that you can make from a few items in the pantry and freezer at any time of the year. It works well for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, bridal or baby showers, etc. It is sweet and rich, yet somehow also seems light and refreshing. It is a rather nostalgic dessert as it reminds me a little of an orange push-up ice cream treat from my childhood. Plus, it is a molded gelatin dessert, which always reminds me of the past. As with other gelatin and fruit dishes, someone might call this a "Jello salad" in the United States. WoodenKnife Indian Fry Bread Mix
On a trip to the Badlands of South Dakota we stopped at Cedar Pass Lodge in the Badlands National Park where we had yummy Indian Fry Bread. It was so good that I purchased a box of WoodenKnife Indian Fry Bread Mix to try and make it at home. The mix had a long shelf […]

Trail Bologna and Cheese
When I was younger, my family would often travel a couple of hours to spend the day and shop in Ohio’s Amish Country. Wild Mayhaw Jelly
On my last trip to the orchard, I picked up a small jar of a jelly I had never heard of before, Wild Mayhaw. It is a pretty red jelly. After some research, I found Wild Mayhaw to be a deep southern item. It is related to or a type of Hawthorne (hence the name). […]

Pink Pearls
How cool are these apples? No, there has not been any alterations to the picture. They really are pink inside. I saw them at a local grocery store that emphasizes natural and organic products. I just had to buy some after getting to taste them in the store, and my family really liked them. However, […]

Although they apparently grow in the wild throughout a wider area, they are only grown commercially in the southeastern United States. They thrive in the heat and humidity of the summers and […]
