Orange Cream Gelatin Dessert is an easy dessert that you can make from a few items in the pantry and freezer at any time of the year. It works well for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, bridal or baby showers, etc. It is sweet and rich, yet somehow also seems light and refreshing. It is a rather nostalgic dessert as it reminds me a little of an orange push-up ice cream treat from my childhood. Plus, it is a molded gelatin dessert, which always reminds me of the past. As with other gelatin and fruit dishes, someone might call this a "Jello salad" in the United States. However, this recipe uses an entire quart of orange sherbert in addition to gelatin, so I can not bring myself … Continue Reading about Orange Cream Gelatin Dessert

Lehman’s Anniversary Cookbook
I could not wait to share what a terrific collection of recipes I found when I purchased 55 Years and Still Cookin’: Lehman’s Anniversary Cookbook on sale.

The cookbook is from one of my favorite stores, Lehman’s in Kidron, Ohio. Kidron is located in Ohio’s Amish Country, an area known to have great food.
This wire bound cookbook provides a very wide variety of recipes from apple julep to Amish peanut butter. All of the recipes look like they would be delicious.
I am really glad this cookbook came now as I have to make something for a covered dish brunch this Sunday. Additionally, it is great that there are recipes for cooking for a large crowd as I think I will be cooking for our church in the upcoming months.
This is a terrific cookbook that I will put in my ever growing collection of great cookbooks.
If you are interested in one of own, you can order it from Lehman’s.
Note: I am not affiliated with Lehman’s in any way. They did not compensated or solicit me in any way. These are just my personal experiences and opinions.

Does it have recipes that are whole foods based, or does it call for a lot of processed foods? (That could be condensed canned soups, velveeta, instant bouillon, and the like). Thanks.
Thank you for your interest, Joan!
This is a collection of over a thousand recipes from people who work at Lehman’s, family, friends, etc. Thus, there are both types of recipes. After looking through the entire cookbook again, I do not have any idea what percentage of each type of recipe is in the book. However, I do know that this is not whole food oriented in the same sense as
