Orange Cream Gelatin Dessert is an easy dessert that you can make from a few items in the pantry and freezer at any time of the year. It works well for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, bridal or baby showers, etc. It is sweet and rich, yet somehow also seems light and refreshing. Waldorf(ish) Salad
Super easy. Very tasty. My mom often made this salad. A true Waldorf salad contains walnuts. I use pecans, thus I call it a Waldorf-ish Salad.
I also don’t measure anything in this salad. I think you should add the ingredients to taste.
Recipe: Waldor(ish) Salad
Ingredients
- Apples
- Celery
- Raisins
- Seedless Grapes
- Pecans, roughly chopped
- Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise
Instructions
- Peel and cut apples into bite sized chunks.
- Slice celery.
- Slice grapes in half.
- Place all in a bowl with the raisins and pecans.
- Add Miracle Whip or Mayo.
- Stir until blended.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Quick Notes
I used 3 very large Mutzu (Crispin) apples. Normally, I start with 1/2 cup of Miracle Whip to see if it covers the fruit mixture. (I used a little too much in the photo.)

I love Waldorf salad! At this time of year, it’s always a treat because the apples are so fresh and crisp!
