Orange Cream Gelatin Dessert is an easy dessert that you can make from a few items in the pantry and freezer at any time of the year. It works well for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother's Day, bridal or baby showers, etc. It is sweet and rich, yet somehow also seems light and refreshing. It is a rather nostalgic dessert as it reminds me a little of an orange push-up ice cream treat from my childhood. Plus, it is a molded gelatin dessert, which always reminds me of the past. Servatii’s Christmas Yule Log
One great Christmas tradition is to have a Yule Log as a Christmas treat. I have made them in the past, but mine were just average in taste and never looked nearly as good as the ones from Servatii’s Pastry Shop and Deli in Cincinnati, Ohio. I imagine they never tasted as good either. Servatii’s […]

Growing up, my mom bought Baker’s Ammonia every year before her holiday baking season began from our local pharmacy. When I was an adult, that pharmacy went out of business, but we found it at other pharmacies. Heck, we even found it at a large discount retail chain pharmacy. It did become much harder to […]

Today, you get two recipe ideas for the price of one. Of course, one is free anyway…but I digress. I purchased a loaf of rye cocktail bread to make Sausage and Cheese on Rye one morning when we had company. It is an easy, yummy recipe that works great for breakfast, brunch, or as an […]

Delicious Electric Skillet Fudge
There is no better sweet to me than good peanut butter fudge. However, I must admit that I am something of a peanut butter fudge snob. There are many peanut butter fudges sold in stores and market stands that I do not think taste good. To me, a good peanut butter fudge is smooth, creamy […]
